Taryn Souders has a degree in elementary education with a specialization in mathematics from the University of North Texas. She was inspired to become a math teacher because of the apprehension and uneasiness she experienced as a child learning math. Her goal in writing Whole-y Cow! Fractions Are Fun was to put a humorous spin on fractions that would help kids just have fun with them.

Now a stay-at-home mom, Taryn is actively involved as a "home room" mom at her children's school. She loves seeing kids engaged in learning and knows that every teacher thrives on encouragement! In her spare time, she enjoys reading (a lot!) and has a particular interest in creative writing.

Taryn currently resides in Winter Park, Florida with her husband and their three children.

Are you interested in a SCHOOL VISIT? Taryn's engaging presentations, targeting elementary age children, are great fun! Primarily focused on walking through "A Day in the Life of an Author", Taryn addresses the various stages of the writing process from "idea" to when the book finally hits the shelf.
